Work it out

No pain no gain. That's what they say when they sell you on joining a training regiment deemed so tough that they need to call it "Boot Camp".

I attend these sessions at least twice a week and though the work out is tough, the rewards are endless. Friendships have been formed, fitness level increased and overall fun is had at every gathering.

However, with all the working out, one sometimes picks up an injury or two. Like I did, when my back muscles no longer wanted to play along.
But instead of not attending my regular Sunday morning work out, I decided to be a spectator - camera at the ready... of course!

So I snapped away as my fellow boot campers sweat their way through another hour of gruelling exercise in an attempt to live a healthier, fitter lifestyle.

Here are some of the pictures:

I love boot camp!

A child is born

After nine months' care and nurture a mother receives a blessing from above. A tiny being whose light shines for all to see and who brings love to all.

In naming their baby, parents take the time to find one that's just right, and one whose meaning encapsulates what they wish for their child.

This little lady's name is Zareen and it means "full of expression and smile", and these are the pictures of the way they celebrated her naming.

Website mini-shoot

The founders of the Women's Empowerment Network asked me to take a few pictures of them for their new website.

These ladies have been doing such selfless work in their community by raising funds for different charities through monthly market days.

Their personalities really shone through in the pictures taken.

Here are a few:
